What is an RTD temperature sensor

Home    更新    What is an RTD temperature sensor

An RTD (or resistance temperature detector) is a temperature sensor that contains a resistor that changes its resistance value as temperature changes. The most popular RTD is Pt100. They have been used to measure temperature in laboratories and industrial processes for many years and have a reputation for accuracy, repeatability and stability.

Most RTD components consist of a certain length of fine wire wound on a ceramic or glass core. This element is usually very fragile, so it is usually placed in a sheathed probe to protect it. The RTD element is made of pure material, and its resistance at various temperatures has been recorded. As the temperature changes, the electrical resistance of the material changes predictably. This predictable change is used to determine the temperature.

pt100 is one of the most accurate temperature sensors. It not only provides good accuracy, but also provides excellent stability and repeatability. Pt100 is also relatively resistant to electrical noise, so it is very suitable for temperature measurement in industrial environments, especially around motors, generators and other high-voltage equipment.
