The difference between infrared and far infrared

Home    更新    The difference between infrared and far infrared

Infrared is an energy wave. Because part of it is electric wave and part is electromagnetic wave, it belongs to the electromagnetic wave family. In the polarization analysis electromagnetic spectrum, infrared is the radiation wave between the super-visible light band visible to the naked eye and the micro exterior.

The infrared frequency is approximately between 1012 and 5×1014C/S. The name and function of infrared depend on its wavelength. In the infrared spectrum, the wavelength is known to be in the range of 0.75 to 1000μ, and a distinction is made between near and far. Generally, the wavelength of 0.75 to 2.5μ is called near infrared, and the wavelength of 2.5 to 1,000μ is called far infrared. In use, some people divide it into three regions of near-infrared and mid-infrared (2.5μ~1,000μ), but in fact, there is no precise boundary in various electromagnetic radiation fields, but the two ends overlap each other.
